kocherzya: Please, help me find the roots of my surename (lastname) Кочергин if it's Erzya or Russian origin. I live in California and still understand some of the Erzya language from learning it from my grandmother. My mother's side family's surename (lastname) is Григорьев and my grandparents clam that they're Erzya. Thank you in advance.
